Description: COVID has impacted all of us in many different ways, not the least of which has been the cancellation for the past few years of our annual fall visit to SpruceHaven.
We are happy to say that we are now able to resume this very enjoyable event.
We will start our tour at the barn where a full explanation of the Barn Swallow colony will be just what we need to get us ready for a walk. We will explore the restored grassland, the woodlot, Teen Hollow, talk about the nesting success of Eastern Bluebirds, Tree Swallows, House Wrens and other species, and meander around the property paying attention to all aspects of natural history.
The walk should end around 11:00 am at which time we are invited into the house to enjoy tea, coffee and snacks, and to enjoy the company of Dave, Sandy and Jamie.
Registration is required. Please contact David to register. Non-members are welcome but they will need to sign an insurance waiver.
