Join Stewart for this Fun Outing, where we explore birding hotspots in the Glen Morris area, including Northern Brant County. This area is known for its Carolinian Forests, its proximity to the Grand River as well as several small lakes and grassland habitat. It is possible to see both Grassland Species, Wading Birds, Raptors as well as Migrating Songbirds all in one day.

Target birds, which are uncommon and hard to find, include Cliff Swallow, Common Gallinule, Tufted Titmouse, Bobolink and other specialty species.

The Group will meet at the Glen Morris Trail Parking Lot at 7:30 AM. Bathrooms are located there. Car pooling is encouraged as some of the locations involve limited parking.

I am looking forward to having an Exciting day of local birding with you then!

What to bring: A spotting scope will be provided, but feel free to bring your own, plus your binoculars. Participants should dress according to the weather conditions and wear comfortable footwear. The Outing will proceed RAIN OR SHINE. Please bring your snacks and water.

The maximum # of participants is 15. Non-members are welcome to attend. All attendees – both members and non-members – will be required to sign an insurance waiver.
