Dave Jolly, Senior Instructor and Botanist at EARTHQUEST Biological Field School, will talk about common Ontario asters and goldenrods, and demonstrate field identification techniques based on his recent book.
His book Asters and Goldenrods of Ontario is a compilation of his field skills and knowledge as well as technical guides produced by Dr. John Semple of the University of Waterloo – an Ontario expert on asters and goldenrod. With 200+ colour photos of 17 species of asters, 17 species of goldenrods, you will find everything you need to know about these plants.
