The Speaker and the Presentation

Eric Eaton is a writer, and author of Wasps: The Astonishing Diversity of a Misunderstood Insect. He is also lead author of the Kaufman Field Guide to Insects of North America, and co-author of Insects Did It First (2018, Xlibris), with Gregory S. Paulson. He has published many articles in popular magazines such as Birds & BloomsRanger RickMissouri Conservationist, and Wonderful West Virginia. Eric grew up in Portland, Oregon, and has lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tucson, Arizona, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. He currently resides in Leavenworth, Kansas with his wife, Heidi. Mr. Eaton has worked as an entomologist at the Cincinnati Zoo, and on private contract with the Smithsonian Institution, West Virginia Dept. of Natural Resources, and University of Massachusetts (Amherst).
