Learning together – Bechtel Park

Tuesday, September 19 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Learning together outings are designed to learn from each other during the walk.  We take in nature’s delights along the way. This is a great way to get out and share our interest in nature and all that it has to offer.

This outing highlights the importance of wetlands to birds, amphibians, dragon flies and other species. Some municipalities are creating wetlands are to buffer some of the run-off from precipitation and slow the rate at which it drains away.  This is a new approach compared with rapid drainage systems using ditches and pipes.

Accessible walk: Bechtel Park trails feature a great forested area with wetlands.
This trail has inclines that could be challenging to some people. The trails are a mix of dirt and wood chip surface.
Meeting point: will be sent to people who register.
