Learning together – Health Valley Trail

Sunday, September 24 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Learning together outings are designed to learn from each other during the walk.  We take in nature’s delights along the way. This is a great way to get out and share our interest in nature and all that it has to offer.

On this outing we will focus on the river and the plants and trees nearby. The river/stream side vegetation is important to control erosion and prevent sediment pollution.  Too much sediment can harm the stream/river and wildlife. Pretty steady elevation, beautiful scenery.

The Health Valley Trail is an easy route through field land and woodland.   The Conestoga River is just about always in sight or very close by.  We will see the Wise Old Oak tree.

Accessibility: The trail has a hard-packed stone-dust surface and is quite level from the trailhead to Arthur St. S.
Meeting point: will be sent to people who register. It is a short walk to the nearest transit stop.
