Garlic Mustard Control at Schneider’s Property
This outing has been cancelled.
When: Friday May 13th, 10am to approximately 11:30am.
Where: Meet on Carmel-Koch Rd., south side (left if coming from Wilmot Line) at the fence just past the convent, Wilmot Township.
Why: Garlic mustard is an invasive herbaceous plant that is increasing in numbers in local forests, including those on the Schneider properties. Join WRN members to help remove garlic mustard from this beautiful area.
Bring: Some areas are low and wet and we’ll be walking through meadows and forest paths with some hills. Wear proper footwear. If conditions are dry you may want to bring a trowel or dandelion picker, although hand-picking is fine as well. Gardening/work gloves may also be “handy” to have. No washrooms available
Who: Email Shannon Pennington at shannonpennington@rogers.com to register.
