Fern Walk

Join Fraser to explore a small segment of this green gem in central Kitchener (Huron Natural Area). The focus of the outing will be finding and learning to identify some of Waterloo Region’s ferns. We should be able to find at least 8 species near the trail.
In the event of rain, this event will be cancelled and not rescheduled. Participants should check the website the day before to confirm if the outing is proceeding in the even that rain is a possibility. Non-members are welcome to join but must sign a waiver.
Accessible walk: Most of our route is on wide, well worn trails over gently rolling terrain. We will move a short distance from the trail in order to see ferns up-close. The meet-up location is accessible by transit.
Meeting point: will be sent to people who register. Washrooms are available at the meeting point.
