Fern Walk at Laurel Creek
Saturday, September 7 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Join Fraser as we explore the back woodlot at the Laurel Creek Nature Centre. The focus of the outing will be finding and learning to identify some of Waterloo Region’s ferns. This is a good forest for fern variety and we hope to be able to find at least ten species.
We’ll be in the forest so good shoes, long pants, insect repellant and water are recommended.
Trails: Most of our route is on established trails/paths over gently rolling terrain. Some sections may be wet and have exposed roots or rough sections.
Duration: Approximately 90 minutes
Washrooms are not available
Registration is required. Non-members are welcome subject to signing an insurance waiver.
Meeting point: near 764 Cedar Bend Drive, Waterloo at the TRAIL ENTRANCE at the back of the LCNC property (street parking available)
