Description:  These woods are a favourite and getting to know them through the seasons is a great way to learn. Several loops circuit pine plantation, wetland and ponds, and upland forest.  There are mostly modest inclines, and the last loop (optional) entails a good hill. We will walk through watching for animal tracks, birds, changes in the winter trees, and maybe wildlife. The last outing here was pleased to spot a northern short-tailed shrew.

Please dress for the weather, and perhaps bring a snack for the wind-down. Trails may be icy so cramp-ons and/or walking sticks or poles are advised. Washrooms are not available.

UPDATE: This event has been cancelled due to low registration. Maybe next time!
