Waterloo				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n		\n			Saturday\, August 30\n\n	\n\n	  @  \n\n\n8:00 am\n\n		\n\n\n\n	\n	  -  \n\n1:00 pm\n\n\n\n	\n				\n				\n				\n						\n					\n			\n						\n									Join Stewart for this Exciting Outing\, where we’ll explore birding hot spots within the boundaries of the City of Waterloo. TITLE: LATE SUMMER BIRDING IN WATERLOO LEADER: STEWART MACDONALD DATE: SATURDAY AUGUST 30\, 2025  8:00 AM -1:00 PM PARTICIPANTS: 15 DESCRIPTION: Join Stewart for this excursion to the fringes of Laurel Creek Conservation Area\, Columbia Lake and Waterloo Park as we search for early Fall Migrants\, Wading Birds\, Shorebirds and Raptors. Target species will include Black-Crowned Night Heron\, Great Egret\, Green Heron as well as migrating Warblers\, Raptors and other Songbirds. The Outing will consist of 3 parts and participants should expect to walk approximately 5 kms in total along flat and dry surfaces. Stewart will provide a spotting scope which will come in handy during the Laurel Lake and Columbia Lake segments. The Outing will proceed RAIN OR SHINE. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring binoculars as well as clothing suitable for the weather conditions and water/snacks for the excursion. We will meet at the Parking Lot of the Stork Family Y for the first part of the excursion. Car pooling will be suggested for the Columbia Lake portion of our journey. We will finish the Outing at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex. Washrooms are available at the first and final stops of the Outing. We hope you can join us for this popular Outing to experience the diversity of Avian Species we can find within the City Limits of Waterloo!								\n					\n		\n				\n			\n						\n									Participants should dress according to the weather conditions and wear comfortable footwear. The outing will proceed RAIN OR SHINE. Please bring snacks and water. PLEASE EMAIL STEWART DIRECTLY TO REGISTER FOR THIS OUTING.
